Summary:
The Coordinator is the chief administrator and shares academic supervision for the SWOSU's Yukon Campus.
The Coordinator has administrative oversight of the facilities at the Yukon Campus and reports to the Vice President for Student Services.
The Coordinator shall work effectively with the administration, faculty, staff, students, and other stakeholders to accomplish the mission and achieve the goals and objectives of the Campus and the University.
The Coordinator shall ensure that the campus offers quality education to all students and all accreditation requirements are met and maintain a collegial and collaborative scholarly environment.
Has overall responsibility for compliance of university policies and procedures and state or federal mandates for responsibility areas.
Essential Duties &
Responsibilities:
Provide services to Yukon Public Schools (YPS) and SWOSU in a manner that professionally, cordially, and efficiently assists students, faculty, staff, and visitors Serve as primary liaison to YPS and SWOSU administration Facilitate information sharing regarding course/faculty demand, classroom space, meeting times, seat minute adherence, and sharing credentialing information with academic departments Maintain accurate enrollment information and use it to craft projections for growth, break-even analysis, and revenue Admit students, supervise enrollment, conduct informal degree checks programs Serve as primary academic advisor for students engaged in the Early College Program Coordinate with alternate academic providers participating in the Early College Program Ensure consistency across syllabi regarding policies, course learning objectives, etc.
Build annual training for dual-credit and concurrent instructors that meets the requirements of Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education and the Higher Learning Commission Oversee a faculty evaluation process for dual-credit and concurrent instructors Recruit prospective students by building events such as College Prep Workshops, FASFA Q&A Nights, ReThink facilitation, Early College Information Sessions, etc.
Develop informational materials to share with Student Services staff to ensure effective communication throughout division Educate SWOSU Yukon students regarding access to services and resources Collaborate with YPS and SWOSU marketing teams to align messaging, branding, tone, etc.
Serve as a SWOSU representative by engaging with Yukon community partners including Yukon Chamber of Commerce and the Yukon Public Schools Alumni Association Maintain records and work in coordination with YPS regarding Yukon employees' tuition waivers Communicate and monitor dual-credit and concurrent faculty pay Maintain all documentation with updated tuition and fee amounts Coordinate with YPS counselors and faculty and the SWOSU Bursar Office to ensure that billing of tuition is routed annually to the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education and that payment is received Must be able to plan and execute large-scale events and administrative processes Be a strong proponent and advocate for the Yukon Campus, its faculty, staff, students, and programs Direct the operations of the campus working with the SWOSU administration and Yukon faculty and staff to ensure that the mission, goals, and objectives of the campus are realized Overall responsibility for the development and implementation of a recruitment program for students, traditional and non-traditional, to ensure the strategic goals of the Campus.
Establish a vision and direction for the Campus that will meet the needs of the students, faculty, staff, and Canadian County Promote high academic standards and foster SWOSU's culture and mission Ensure all accreditation standards are met or exceeded Maintain effective communications among the faculty, staff and students within the Campus Responsible for the effective and efficient development and utilization of the department's budgetary funds, this includes overseeing and accountability for budgetary record keeping and usage of monies Maintain a sound and attractive physical plant operation that is conducive to good teaching and learning Engage alumni and friends of the Yukon Campus and build mutually beneficial relationships Maintain a collegial and collaborative working environment that promotes the growth and success of all faculty, staff, and students Responsible for the effective and efficient staffing, motivation, and supervision of Yukon employees Available to assist with situations during or after working hours whether in-person, by phone or email contact Must be willing to and able to perform job related travel.
Must maintain a valid driver's license Other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements:
Master's degree Previous experience and demonstrated evidence of managerial, supervisory, and administrative success Excellent written, verbal, grammatical and interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations Preferred
Qualifications:
Proven record of successful teaching and scholarship Proficiency in Microsoft Office Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the President of SWOSU or their designee may find appropriate Competencies:
Ability to multi-task, organized, manages time effectively, and keeps tasks appropriately prioritized Remains knowledgeable applicable regulations, policies, and protocols Ability to work with, assist, lead, and take directions from others in the interest of moving processes and programs forward to the desired outcome Work Setting:
